Valery Belousov

Master of Sports of International Class in hockey (1976), Honored Coach of Russia (1992), best goalscorer in the history of Chelyabinsk hockey (221 goals), member of Bobrov club, Russian Hockey hall-of-famer, class 2012, record amount of matches in upper echelons of Russian hockey leagues among Soviet and Russian coaches, Honorary Citizen of Chelyabinsk (2012).

In player capacity: USSR Cup runner-cup (1971), USSR Championship bronze medalist (1977), Spengler Cup runner-up (1973). All these accomplishments came when Belousov was with Traktor.

1990-1995 – Traktor head coach, 2-time MHL bronze medalist (1993, 1994), MHL Cup bronze medalist (1994).
1996-2003 – Metallurg Magnitogorsk head coach, 2-time Russian champion (1999, 2001), Russian Cup winner (1998), 2-time Euroleague champion (1999, 2000), European Supercup holder (2000), Russian Championship silver medalist (1998), 2-time bronze medalist (2000, 2002), Spengler Cup runner-up (1999).
2003-2007 – Avangard Omsk head coach; Russian champion (2004), European Champions Cup holder (2005), Russian Championship sliver (2006) and bronze (2007) medalist, Continental Cup runner-up (2007).
Belousov returned to Metallurg in 2008 and became Champions League runner-up (2009).
Since October 2010 – Traktor head coach. In 2011/2012 he led the team to Continent Cup and Gagarin Cup semifinals. In the very next season, Belousov led Traktor to team’s biggest success ever – Gagarin Cup finals.

All of Traktor’s medals have been earned with Valery Belousov’s involvement to some extent.
