Yevgeny Katichev: we are glad Deron is back with Traktor

Where did you spend your summer vacation?
I was in Thailand. My wife and I ate a lot of seafood, especially my wife. We could have spent some more time there, but it is what it is – whatever time we had, we spent it.

How did the training camp in Garmisch go?
We had two training sessions a day, and they were quite productive – trainings on ice and gym in the morning, then lunch and some rest, and two more hours on ice in the evening. After that you could go to the swimming pool or take a bath and prepare yourself for the next day.

What’s it like to work with a foreign coach?
I haven’t worked with foreign coaches before. I have to say the training process is very well organized and dynamic. The whole team likes it.

Speaking of the team – there are a lot of new faces this season. How do you feel about it?
Coaching staff has determined the combinations of lines on the spot so that we could develop chemistry. Of course there are some new faces, but there are also the new old ones like Deron Quint. I for one, and the whole team are happy he came back. Welcome home, Deron!
