Karri Kivi: one goal led to this result
Karri
Kivi, Traktor head coach:
A final away game that saw two equally matched opponents go at it. One goal, unfortunately, led to this result. We could have gotten back into it in the second twenty, but a long and grueling series left us with little strength.
Dmitri Kvartalnov, CSKA head coach:
It was a tough game, and I am glad we won. We completely lost the second period, but thanks to Galimov, we kept the lead. It’s still a rough going for us, but I think after four days off we will regain the needed strength. In all honesty, Mursak and Prokhorkin are the two players who are dragging the team forward, others still have work to do to get to their level.
I am satisfied with the way Artyukhin replaced Igor Volkov tonight. He missed a lot of action and has yet to get to his best shape, but he played well tonight. Volkov is injured, by the way. I also don’t have any problems with tonight’s officiating. I have already heard that some corrections were going to be made, and apparently they have been.
