MHL. Vladimir Ionin: we are still on winning track
Do you think the score in both games reflects the complexion of these games?
The first game was tough, and the four one score definitely reflects the
complexion of the game. Nine five…our mistakes led to so many allowed goals,
but fortunately we were able to score even more.
Do you think it’s better to win with the score of 4:1 or 9:5?
Former. This score is closer to the adult
game, if you will. Nine five is the score I last time had back in high school
(laughs).
Now that Maksim Smelnitsky has replaced Anvar Gatiyatulin, are there new
components of the training regimen?
No. We are still on the same winning track as we were when Gatiyatulin was in
charge. Strategy, game plan – everything remained the same. Why break something
that works perfectly?
