- First of all, congratulations to Traktor on tonight’s victory. We had a good first period, but the way we played in the second one, I can only call this anti-hockey. That’s exactly what I said to my players in the locker room – you can’t play hockey like this. Traktor dried it up in the third twenty, and we were unable to do anything about it.

- Thank you for your congratulations. It was an important game for Traktor, mentally, emotionally and psychologically, because both Traktor and Admiral are in the hunt for the playoffs. We motivated our players, and they understood how important this matchup would be. We were not particularly good in the first period, and I am grateful that my boys understood my criticism and turned the tables in the second twenty. Concerning the third period, my counterpart said it right – it was a game of strategy, we focused on the defensive efforts and dried the game up. There are plenty of games up ahead, we can climb even higher in the rankings.
Question to Shepelev: Why did not you switch to the three line mode?
Shepelev: I could not highlight anyone from the team after the second period. Oftentimes it’s because someone underperforms that you switch to three lines. However, in our case the entire team played bad.
Question to Shepelev: You mentioned the term ‘anti-hockey’ when talking about your team in the second twenty. Could it be because Traktor made Admiral play the game they wanted you to?
Shepelev: Of course, the hosts were more active in the third period. But, it’s not our first rodeo – we know that if you lack skills, you should play your heart out there. It’s not figure skating, it’s hockey – you can’t play like that when you trail two goals.

Nikolishin: What happens in the locker room should stay there. Most importantly are the actions that boys took.
