MHL. 100 points and counting

In comparison with the victorious game in Nizhny Novgorod, there was only one change in Medvedi lineup – Pavel Nechistovsky replaced Yegor Nazarov in between the pipes.

It all started with the hosts’ minor, although the activity during the power play did not result in scoring. The game became much more interesting on minute number 11 when Konstantin Zabavin punished Olimpiya for another penalty and opened the score in this game. Next, the black-and-white have gotten themselves into trouble, earning two straight minors. Kirovo-Chepetsk team used this opportunity as well as possible and pulled ahead within the span of ten seconds. After these two quick goals, the coaching staff did not take a risk and replaced Pavel Nechistovsky with more experienced Yegor Nazarov, and soon our guys scored twice. However, one goal was deemed illegal, but later Aleksandr Tridchikov scored a legal one – 2:2. Closer to the end of the period Ilya Zinovyev gave one-goal advantage back to the visitors.

After the break, Belye Medvedi remembered that they were leaders in this game and in the MHL standings and began to show the hockey they should be playing most of the time. Medvedi beat the opponent in all components of the game and, most importantly, increased their lead. Ivan Bezrukov and Ilya Zinovyev, who scored his second goal of the game, were supported by Semyon Afonasyevsky – 6:2. However, in the end of the period the black-and-allowed a goal scored by Vladislav Yantsen.

In the final twenty, our team was confident in keeping the needed score. On minute 47 Semyon Afonasyevsky scored his second goal of the game during a power play – 7:3. Medvedi finished the meeting in a confident fashion and, although Olimpiya tried to provide some resistance, but our team claimed another three points.
