Official statement regarding Igor Velichkin

Last night, in one of the social networks, Traktor forward Igor Velichkin resorted to profane language when talking to the fans of the team, including the female ones. Team management would like to state that disciplinary measures have already been taken against Mr. Velichkin. The players of Traktor are public people, and incidents like these negatively influence both the team’s and players’ image. We would like to assure all of our fans that never will anything like this happen again.

Igor Velichkin:
- I would like to apologize to anyone who had been offended by my comments. I wrote most of the things in the heat of the moment. After things calmed down a little, I realized that I should not have inserted myself in the discussion and used profane language. Hockey players and fans are part of the game, and we have to respect each other. I didn’t have to resort to insults and should have just kept silence. I will now try to do my best to find these people and apologize to them in person.
