I have to find another language in which I will be able to explain to the team that goals come after good shots and good passes.

Question to Nikolishin: Today the league has decided to keep the status of Belorussians as foreign players. What’s your take on the problem?
Nikolishin: I’m strongly against the limit on foreign players.

Lubomir Pokovic, Dinamo Minsk head coach:
A four nothing result might suggest this game was a walk in the park, but it wasn’t. We utilized our scoring chances, were good in shorthanded play. I would also like to thank our fans who lent their support tonight and helped us a great deal.

Question to Pokovic: Was Kalyuzhny’s goal a special one?
Pokovic: I think it might have been the turning point of the game because just before that Jonathan Cheechoo hit the post, and one might have thought that there was some kind of spell put on Demchenko’s net.

Question to Pokovic: Alexei Kalyuzhny recently said in an interview that there was some sort of jackpot which would have gone to the player who would score the first power play of the team in this season. Do you know anything about it?
Pokovic: This jackpot thing was the players’ idea. I think you’d better ask them about it.

Question to Pokovic: Dinamo is on a three-game winning streak after two early losses. What changes did you make to ensure that the losing spree does not continue?
Pokovic: There is a different game plan for which opponent. We wanted to get some points against CSKA and SKA, but did not manage to do so.

Question to Pokovic: Today the league has decided to keep the status of Belorussians as foreign players. What’s your take on the problem?
Pokovic: There is a chance we could sign one or two Belorussian players, but it’s still up in the air.

Question to Pokovic: Did the team contact any of those players?
Pokovic: We did, but like I said, it’s too early to say.
