Andrei Nikolishin: Traktor won battle of wills

- I would like to begin by pointing out the atmosphere in Slovnaft Arena. This is one of the best stadiums in the league and just a great place to be, both for hockey players and hockey fans. As far as the game goes, I would have to say hockey is all about battle of wills. And Traktor won this battle of wills tonight. This victory was very important for us. I would also like to say that Slovan surprised us tonight; they took a lot of shots and employed some heavy forechecking. It’s great that we were able to withstand their pressure.

- Our last several games are like a carbon copy – a cheap goal and a lot of failed scoring chances. The team works well at training sessions, but sometimes things do not go the way we want. We tried to exert pressure on the opponent’s defensemen but did not go a good enough job out of it.
