- Metallurg versus Traktor is the Ural derby, and these games are always emotional. I think Traktor had a better first period, but then we evened the game out and came away with a shootout win.

- We thoroughly prepared for this game but, unfortunately, we did not have enough strength and focus to hang on to a victory. Three goals is a very good result but we allowed easy goals and lost this game.
Question to Gatiyatulin: What is the reason behind the absence of Francouz and Rybakov?
Gatiyatulin: Both are injured.

Gatiyatulin: He got some sort of a cold after a skating session this morning.

Gatiyatulin: I would like to say that the whole team was trying to send the fans home happy but, and I reiterate myself, our own mistakes led to our loss tonight.
Question to Gatiyatulin: Considering the result of this game, is there still a chance to get into the playoffs?
Gatiyatulin: My players are motivated for each game anyways.
Question to Vorobyov: Is there a comfortable playoff opponent for Magnitka?
Vorobyov: There isn’t. I believe this is a bad idea because a team that loses games, attempting to ‘choose’ an opponent for the first round of playoffs, might get punished for this.
Question to Vorobyov: Are you satisfied with the performance of Alexander Syomin?
Vorobyov: He gets better by the game; he even scored two goals in one of recent games. However, we are hoping that he might perform even better.
Question to Gatiyatulin: Did you name Denisov team captain after the four-game hot streak?
Gatiyatulin: Yeah, we decided to keep him as a token of luck.
Question to Gatiyatulin: Will Denisov remain captain for the rest of the regular season?
