Boris Dubrovski: Chelyabinsk Oblast will be great host for U18 World Championship
The
region already has experience of hosting major international sporting events, and
that is why Chelyabinsk Oblast will be a great host for the 2018 U18 WJC. This is
what Traktor’s President Boris Dubrovski had to say behind the scenes
of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Dubrovski told TASS that the preparation for the tournament is already underway, but, beginning in summer of 2017, it is going to get more focused. Traktor’s President also said that Chelyabinsk Oblast hosted judo and taekwondo world championships, KHL All-Star Game etc. Dubrovski is confident that the event will be organized on a high level.
The world championship will take place in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk from April 19 to 29, 2018. It has not been decided in which city of the two the gold medal game will take place.
