I am happy with the way my team played this game. We were patient with our chances. Despite a lot of penalties, Traktor could not convert them into goals, and it was a deciding factor tonight.

The early game misconduct penalty threw us off our game, and we had to play with three lines for the entire game. I guess we lacked stamina late in the game. We have a couple of days to recuperate before heading to Novosibirsk to start the away series.

Question to Gatiyatulin: You replaced Demchenko with Francouz tonight. Is Vasya tired of playing so many straight games?
Gatiyatulin: We were actually considering putting Francouz in the net from the start but changed our mind. I think Pavel will a couple of game on the road.
