Anvar Gatiyatulin: it was clear that the team was tired after being on the road

Miskhat Fakhrutdinov, Amur head coach:
I actually did not recognize my team tonight. Traktor was quick and mobile while Amur moved in slow motion. This resulted in penalties and all other things. Plus, we were very underwhelming attack-wise. Our leaders were gassed, and the opposition did not give us a chance to do anything on the power play.

Anvar Gatiyatulin, Traktor head coach:
We had a very tough series of games on the road, and it was obvious that the team was tired because it is the same guys that face this pressure. We were intent to win this game, and I’m glad that we did just that. I would like to thank my team for their performance tonight. We have a day to recuperate before the Admiral game.

Question to Gatiyatulin: Why did Sergei Sentyurin appear tonight?
Gatiyatulin:
He has been training with the team for quite a while. He replaced Yuri Petrov who got injured on the road and almost literally is a one-legged man. Marsel Sholokhov got a two-game suspension playing for Medvedi, and Chelmet is on the road, so we decided to put Sentyurin on the lineup.

Question to Gatiyatulin: How long will Petrov be out?
Gatiyatulin:
He will be ready after the upcoming break.

Question to Gatiyatulin: Is the inclusion of Vitali Kravtsov on the lineup a move to get him acquainted with the big leagues?
Gatiyatulin:
Of course. Preseason is one thing, regular season is another thing. We actually wanted to get him on the ice, but the game was intense until the last second, so he didn’t get a chance to appear.

Question to Gatiyatulin: Why didn’t you pick someone from Chelmet to replace Yuri Petrov?
Gatiyatulin:
We didn’t know that Marsel would get a suspension; we found out about it yesterday afternoon, and Chelmet was already on the road. We are going to try to get someone from Chelmet for the Saturday game.
