Minimal difference

The roster of Traktor was almost the same as against Sochi. Only the fourth line changed, where Denis Mosharov and Sergei Sentyurin took the place of young Alexander Tridchikov and Ivan Bezrukov. Also Evgeny Petrikov and Nikita Zhuldikov played instead of Danil Mamayev and Evgeny Petrikov. In the first line 17-year old Vitaly Kravtsov was playing along Paul Szczechura and Maxim Yakutsenya.

The game was sparse on goals. Both teams were trying to stop opponents offense in the neutral zone and rarely counterattacked. The only goal came from the blueline, when Salavat Yulaev’s center forward won the face off and passed the puck to Denis Kulyash. Defenseman with hard shot slapped the puck into the net. This goal eventually became the winning one. Traktor changed the goalie in favor of the sixth skater, but didn’t manage to score.
