VHL. Igor Znarok: We played well in defense

In my opinion, the key moment of the game was the one when we overcame the 5-on-3 penalty kill. Today we played well in defense. We didn`t give much space in our zone to the opponent. 

Recenly Sergei Sentyurin has joined Chelmet. Can you say that he is a mentor for younger players?
Yes, he was greatly accepted in the team. He helps a lot in the locker room and on the ice. He playes well.

I would like to congratulate the opponent on the win. The game was tight during all three periods. Despite the fact that we lost, I have no complaints to my guys. The only thing was that the opponent gave us a brilliant chance to score and we should used it. We wanted to tie the game in the third period. And we did it. But then we lost in one fast episode. We don`t give up and start preparing to the next game. 

Can you say that the one who won today is the one who scored on the powerplay?
Of course! Especially, when you play such a tight game chances converting is key for the result. If we had scored in the 5-on-3 episode, everything would have been different. But sometimes such days just happen. Either the puck is sent to the skate or to the stick. I`d like to repeat that I can`t blame any of my players. Everyone tried to do their best. Someone should be a winner, someone should lose. Everything is fine, we are going to prepare to the next game. 

You didn`t change line-up after the win over Kurgan. Should any changes be expected in the next game?
I`m not ready to answer this question now. Tomorrow we will analyze the game and we take a decision.
