Artyom Penkovsky leaves Traktor

Traktor Chelyabinsk announced termination of 24-year-old forward Artyom Penkovsky`s contract.

Traktor head coach Peteris Skudra:
Penkovsky had a preseason camp with the team in Maribor. And when the player born in the 1995th isn`t as good even as players born in the 1998th and the 1999th, it`s a sign. Maybe his last season injury holds him back. We discussed it with him a lot. I had certain quetsions regarding dedication to the practices and work quality, he knows about it. And the player is left out of the lineup.I think that the player always has a right, if he has ambitions and he understands that he is ready to play in the KHL, to get a chance to play. But for now there are a lot of younger players in Traktor who are not worse than Artyom and even better in some moments.
