The first game of the season for Traktor will be against Sibir Novosibirsk region.
The Traktor Chelyabinsk and the Sibir Novosibirsk region will begin the 2021\2022 KHL season with the game in Chelyabinsk. The teams have already played against each other a week ago at the Chelyabinsk Region Governor`s Cup. Traktor Chelyabinsk won that game, 4-3, but at that time both teams were testing their lineups.
The team from Novosibirsk had an active preseason: Sibir signed 11 players including well-known for Chelyabinsk fans forward Alexei Kruchinin and defenseman Denis Bodrov. Andrei Martemyanov was named as a head coach this preseason and lead the team to the win in the Romazan Memorial tournament that took place in Magnitogorsk.
The game between Sibir and Traktor will take place at the Traktor Ice Arena named after Valery Belousov at 19:00 of Chelyabinsk local time.
