Ivan Savin: "The Czech imports will play the next season not in Russia"
The general director confirmed that the Czech players of the Traktor Chelyabinsk will miss the 2022\2023 KHL season.
— As it was announced at the final press-conference, all the imports players took a few weeks to check the situation in their home countries and talk to their families. For today I can say that in cooperation with our Czech players it has been decided that they will miss the next season in the KHL. The organization totally understands their point of view. We just want to say thank you for everything they did for the Traktor Chelyabinsk and wish best of luck.
Will they miss just one season?
It will depend a lot on the situation in the world. We know that everyone felt comfortable playing in Chelyabinsk and we hope that it will help us in future.
⠀
What will it look like from the legal point of view?
Termination of the contract by the player's initiative.
⠀
Nick Bailen, Teemu Pulkkinen, Lawrence Pilut. What about these players?
We are in touch daily. There is no final decision yet. We expect to have it soon.
