Igor Isayev began his hockey path with Traktor Ice Hockey School. His debut for Traktor Chelyabinsk took place in the 2017/2018 season. In the KHL the defenseman recorded 37 (6G, 31A) points, 183 hits and 224 blocked shots.
With the Traktor Chelyabinsk team Isayev won bronze medals of the KHL in 2018 and 2022 and on the junior level he also won two bronze medals with Belye Medvedi Chelyabinsk.
