22/23. Sibir vs Traktor – 4:5 SO

The beginning of the game against Sibir was active for Traktor. On the seventh minute of the game Traktor`s Robert Hamilton did a good job on the blue line and scored. In the middle of the period the team from Chelyabinsk had a powerplay opportunity yet it wasn't capitalized on.  

Beginning of the second period saw Nikita Tertysnhy`s goal, 2-0. It didn't take long Sibir to score a goal, yet in the end of the period Pyotr Khokhryakov scored a powerplay goal, 3-1. It was Khokhryakov`s third goal in three games.

In the third period Traktor played according to the scoreboard. In one of the episodes Sibir`s Valentin Pyanov scored a goal to make Traktor`s lead minimal, but three minutes before the end of the game the away team managed to capitalize on the powerplay opportunity thanks to Maxim Shabanov`s effort and restored 2-goal lead. In the end of the game Sibir got a powerplay oppotunity and replaced the goalie with the sixth skater which resulted in two goals by Maxim Sushko and Trevor Murphy, 4-4.

 

The game ended with SO win thanks to Nikita Tertyshny`s two shootout goals. Thus, it was 5-4 SO win in Novosibirks for Traktor Chelyabinsk.
