Traktor and Sergei Telegin agree terms on new contract
The new contract is valid through 2024/25 season.
Sergei Telegin is a young defenseman who began his hockey path in Chelyabinsk. The 2019/20 season saw him playing for the Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in the VHL. In 2019 Telegin was called up to the junior national team to take part in the CIBC Canada/Russia Series.
Prior to the 2020/21 season Telegin signed a contract with the Traktor Chelyabinsk and tailled 10 (3+7) points in 44 games of his debut KHL season.
Sergei Telegin has been playing for the Traktor Chelyabinsk for 3 seasons. During this time he managed to win bronze KHL medal in 2022, Olympic silver medal in 2022 and was named a Merited Master of Sports in Russia. The 22-year old player is regularly called up to the national team, he recorded one assist in 11 games on the international level.
Last season the defenseman recorded 22 (5+17) points in 58 KHL games, thus he set a personal point record in one KHL season.
