2012/2013 Playoffs. Game 7, Ak Bars vs. Traktor – 1:2. Press-conference after the match

Valery Belousov, Traktor’s head coach:
First of all, I would like to congratulate my team on this victory. They fought until the last second and earned their spot in the cup finals. It was a great series, our young players acquired plenty of experience. And of course I’m very excited that Traktor will play in the finals for the first time in its history.

Congratulations to Valery Konstantinovich on this brilliant victory. As far as Ak Bars goes, I don’t want to discuss our performance for now; maybe a little bit later.

Question to Belov: Have you ever had a loss more stinging than tonight’s?
Belov: As far as my coaching career goes – no, I haven’t.

Question to Belov: What did you say to your players after the match was over?
Belov: The only thing I said was that we would have to gather together in a day or two and discuss what’s next for us.

Question to Belov: It seemed as if Ak Bars lacked the emotion and motivation they had back in the series with Salavat.
Belov: If we take game 7, no, I don’t agree – there were plenty of emotions.
