Petri Kontiola: there’s one thing we topped our opponents at – the support of the fans
- I enjoyed this season a lot, and I think the whole team also did. Yes,
we couldn’t win the Cup, but life goes on. There is always next season where, I
am sure, we will be even stronger and more experienced. Now we can only recall
all those wasted opportunities, especially when we gave away the lead, and work
on these aspects of the game. There’s one thing though that we topped our
opponents at – the fans’ support. I am absolutely certain that Chelyabinsk fans
are the best in all of KHL!
This past season is an invaluable experience for the team. Hopefully we will be able to repeat this result next season or maybe even top it!
All the talk about our injuries makes no sense now. I know some of Traktor’s players, including me, were far from our best shape towards the end of the season, but this should not be an excuse – Dynamo had their share of injured players too.
