Vladimir Krechin: second place finish is a step forward for Traktor

- I would like to thank my team for this amazing season. The boys went out there with broken bones and torn muscles, but still gave it their all on the ice. Both teams could win the Cup, but Dynamo converted their chances, and we didn’t. Most importantly Traktor is this season’s runner-up, which certainly is a step forward. We have to get over the loss in the finals and move on.
Dynamo has been consistent for several years ever since it was HK MVD. Every Dynamo’s player is interchangeable and knows what to do on the ice. This consistency is what gives Dynamo the Cup for the two straight years. However, Traktor showed Dynamo is not invincible; if only we had been luckier… There wasn’t another team in the playoffs that hit posts and bars more times than we did.
Traktor is currently showing the most beautiful style of play which is somewhat similar to that of the Team USSR back in the day, and I’m sure everyone is enjoying it.
