Yevgeny Kuznetsov: it’s easy to play in a team like that

- Training without playing is always frustrating, but I tried not to think about, and the opportunity presented itself. My partners supported my all the way; it’s easy to play in a team like that.

You seemed to be feeling more confident in the second period, giving your team a couple of power plays.
I played like I needed to, but I still have to keep on working.

How did your family and friends support you during these troubled times when you were not making it on the line-up?
I tried not to talk about it with them.

We could have not made it the playoffs if we lost tonight? Was it weighing on players’ minds?
Of course we understood we could not lose this game which is why we focused more on defense, and it doesn’t matter who tallies goals – the team wins, it’s all that matters.
