Yevgeny Tsybuk: Aaltonen will give his answer by the end of this week
Aaltonen signed with Traktor in July 2012 but never appeared in the team
due to health problems. This month Traktor’s CEO Vladimir Krechin announced that
provided Aaltonen does not get a definitive offer from any NHL team, he’s
coming to Chelyabinsk.
- We are in contact with Aaltonen and eagerly anticipating his possible arrival. We’ve agreed that he will give us the answer by the end of this week, said Tsybuk.
He also explained that in case Juhamatti decides to go to KHL, he can only play for Traktor because last season he didn’t play while having a valid contract, so he has to fulfill his contractual obligations first.
Aaltonen was one of the notable figures of the recent 2013 IIHF World Championships with 10 GP and 11 points (7 G, 4 A) as team Finland fell one step short of bronze medals.
