We had a horrible first period tonight. Thankfully, due to multiple penalties we pulled ahead and hung on to this lead until the end.

Dmitry Kvartalnov, Sibir head coach:
It was a tough series on the road for us – few points, no goals tonight, plus a whole lot of penalties. We could tie the game in the third, but our forwards lacked resolve or something to be able to do that.
