TRAKTOR vs. DINAMO MINSK – 3:0. Press-conference after the match
Valery
Belousov, Traktor head coach:
We had good first and third periods and a not so good second period. After the
second one I said to my players that they have to tighten up on the defensive
end. There is another thing I would like to point out - we don't take many
shots. I always say to the team that we have to fire more shots, but so far it
has not worked.
Aleksandr Andrievskiy, Dinamo head coach:
Congratulations to Traktor on tonight's victory. At some points we had
defensive problems, and Traktor's skilled forwards capitalized on them. However,
we had a ton of scoring chances too, but were a bit unlucky. You can't win if you don't score.
Question
to Andrievskiy: Dinamo is the only team
in the league that has not accrued a single win on the road. Why?
Andrievskiy: You have to score to win matches. Today we
had about 40 shots while Traktor had a dozen less of them, and yet they scored
and we did not.
Question to Belousov: Ryabykin captained Traktor tonight. Your choice?
Belousov: Yes, we
knew he would be back tonight, so he's got his C again.
Question to Belousov: Why is Dugin absent from the lineup?
Belousov: He has got
a broken finger.
Question to Belousov: Any comments on
the performance of Osnovin and Sayustov?
Belousov: They did
good, their line scored one of the goals.
Question to Belousov: Traktor plays with fourth complete defensive pairs. Do Artamonov and Khlystov show that they belong?
Belousov: Yes, they are good. Plus we
have recently begun playing with eight D-men because there is a long 14-game
series before the next season break, so it
is almost a must to bring in the fourth pair with a schedule like this.
