Traktor vs. CSKA 4:3. Press-conference after the match
Valery Bragin, CSKA’s head coach:
I believe it was a fun match for the fans. Unfortunately for us, we allowed the goals we shouldn’t have allowed in the closing moments. If we take the whole match into perspective, I think we deserved one point tonight, but hockey is an unpredictable game. We’re still in the process of creating a new team though, so we have to make the right conclusions from this match and move on. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Traktor with a great performance and a victory.
Valery Belousov, Traktor’s head coach:
I agree that tonight’s match was very fun, both teams fought hard and gave the fans in attendance a true sports spectacular. I think the crowd loved it because this is what hockey is all about. As far as Traktor is concerned, I would like to commend all of my players for their resilience and will to win. We performed very well today.
Question to Valery Bragin: What do you make of Bryzgalov’s performance tonight?
Bragin: He saved the net a lot, I can tell you this much. I don’t think he is to blame for the goals we allowed. He performed well, considering it was his first match in a long while.
Question to Valery Bragin: You now have three quality goaltenders on the roster. How are you going to allocate the game time between them?
Bragin: Three quality goaltenders is great (smiles). We’ll have to think about it.
