Valery Belousov`s Birthday
The great player and coach would celebrate his 73rd birthday.
Valery Belousov was born in Novouralsk and at the age of 22 he was in Traktor and connected all his future succes with the team. As part of the Traktor Chelyabinsk Belousov had 240 goals in 418 games as a player. This record is still unbeaten and every player who hits 100 goals for Traktor is granted with the participation in the club of his name. In the 1977 the team won the first medals in the history - bronze medals. As a player Belousov got a title of International Master of Sports and as a coach he was named a Merited Coach of Russia.
As a head coach Valery Belousov helped the Traktor Chelyabinsk to achieve MHL bronze medals in 1993 and 1994, the Continental Cup in 2012, KHL bronze medals in 2012 and silver medals in 2013.

His name is in the Russian Hall of Fame, in 2012 he was named a merited citizen of Chelyabinsk and on January 18th, 2015, his jearsy was lifted in the Traktor Ice Arena. His number 15 is no longer used by the players and in 2015 the Traktor Ice Arena was called after his name and the next year a memorial plaque was unveiled.
